The service

What we do

A burst pipe can release hundreds of litres of water an hour into your home. Our engineers respond fast, isolate the damage, and carry out permanent repairs — replacing the failed section properly rather than clamping it and hoping.

Most bursts have a cause worth knowing about: frozen pipework in an uninsulated loft, corroded old steel pipe, excessive mains pressure, or a poor joint from previous work. We'll identify why yours failed and fix the underlying issue so you're not calling us again next winter.

Burst Pipe Repair

Your questions, answered

Where is my stopcock?

Usually under the kitchen sink, in a downstairs bathroom, under the stairs or where the mains enters the property. Finding it before an emergency happens is genuinely worth two minutes of your time today.

My pipes are frozen but haven't burst — what do I do?

Turn off the stopcock, open the affected taps, and gently warm the pipe with a hairdryer or warm towels — never a blowtorch. If you're not confident, call us; pipes often split as they thaw.

How do I stop pipes bursting again?

Lag exposed pipework in lofts, garages and outside walls, keep heating on low during cold snaps, and replace ageing pipework before it fails. We can survey your vulnerable pipework in one visit.
