The service

What we do

A dripping tap wastes thousands of litres a year and slowly stains your sink. A seized stopcock turns a minor leak into a flood because you can't shut the water off. These 'small' jobs are exactly the ones worth doing properly — and we're happy to come out for them.

We repair and replace all tap types — traditional, monobloc mixers, pull-out kitchen taps and wall-mounted — and we replace tired stopcocks and gate valves with modern quarter-turn valves that will actually work when you need them in an emergency.

Taps & Stopcocks

Your questions, answered

Is a dripping tap really worth calling someone for?

A steady drip wastes up to 5,500 litres a year and often signals a cartridge or washer on the way out — which can fail completely and become a much bigger leak. It's a quick, inexpensive fix done early.

My stopcock won't turn — what do I do?

Don't force it; seized stopcocks can shear off, causing the very flood they're meant to prevent. We'll replace it with a modern lever valve that turns off instantly, even after years unused.

Can you fit an outside tap?

Yes — usually within a couple of hours, including an isolation valve inside and a double-check valve to meet water regulations.
